The files
What's the difference between an original (ORI) file and a modified file?
An ORI file is the untouched factory firmware, read directly from the ECU — perfect as a clean backup or as a base for tuning. A modified file has been reworked for a specific purpose (Stage 1, DPF / EGR / AdBlue solutions, DTC removal). We supply both.
What exactly do I receive when I order?
It depends on the product. Depending on the listing, you may receive a full backup, a single flash read, an EEPROM dump, or a modified file such as a Stage 1. Each product page states exactly what's included. Everything is delivered as a download — no physical shipment.
Are your files checksum-corrected?
Original (ORI) files are delivered checksum-correct and ready to flash. Modified files (Stage 1, AdBlue / EGR / DPF, DTC off, etc.) are delivered with the checksum to be recalculated on write — your flashing tool normally handles this automatically.

How do I make sure a file matches my ECU?
Match the hardware and software numbers (OEM reference) on your ECU label with the file reference. If you're unsure, contact us with your ECU number before ordering.

Which tools can I use to write your files?
Our files work with all standard professional read/write tools. Commonly used ones include Alientech KESS3 and KTAG, Autotuner, CMD Flash, Magic Motorsport Flex, Dimsport (New Genius / New Trasdata), bFlash, PCMflash / PCMtuner, MPPS, Galletto, KT200 / KT200II, FoxFlash, KTM Flash, AVDI and BDM100 — among others. The right tool depends on your ECU and the read method (OBD, bench, boot or BDM).
Do I need experience to use these files?
Yes. Our files are intended for professionals. Flashing an ECU requires proper tooling and knowledge — incorrect writing can damage the unit.
What happens if a flash goes wrong?
That's exactly why a verified full backup matters: it lets you restore the ECU to its original state. We strongly recommend always keeping an ORI backup before any modification.
