Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions of Sale govern all orders placed on gtbackup.com. Our products are 100% digital ECU files and backups. Please read these terms carefully before ordering — by placing an order, you accept them in full.

Last updated: June 2026

Scope & Acceptance

These Terms & Conditions apply to all sales of digital products made through gtbackup.com between the publisher identified in our Legal Notice (“we”, “us”) and any customer (“you”), whether a consumer or a professional. Placing an order implies full and unreserved acceptance of these terms.

Products

We sell digital ECU files and backups, delivered electronically. These are technical files intended for informed users and automotive professionals. It is your responsibility to verify, before ordering, that a file matches your vehicle, ECU reference, and tooling.

Prices

Prices are shown in euros (EUR). VAT is not applicable under Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (basic VAT exemption). The price applicable to your order is the one displayed at the time the order is placed.

Orders

You place an order by following the steps in the checkout process. An order is confirmed once payment has been validated, at which point a confirmation is sent to the email address you provided. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order in case of suspected fraud or non-payment.

Payment

Payment is due in full at the time of the order and is processed securely through our payment provider, WooPayments. We do not store your full card details. The order is only validated once payment is confirmed.

Delivery

Products are delivered electronically. Once payment is confirmed, a download link or access to the file is made available, usually immediately. No physical item is shipped. It is your responsibility to download and securely store your file.

Right of Withdrawal

Our products are digital content supplied immediately and not on a physical medium. In accordance with Article L221-28 13° of the French Consumer Code, by placing the order, ticking the dedicated box at checkout, and accessing or downloading the file, the consumer expressly requests immediate performance and waives their 14-day right of withdrawal.

Once the file has been made available for download, the right of withdrawal is therefore lost. Orders placed by professionals (B2B) are not subject to a right of withdrawal.

Refunds

Given the digital nature of our products and the waiver described above, files are non-refundable once they have been made available for download. If a technical problem prevents delivery, or if a file is defective or unusable, please contact us: we will provide a working file or, failing that, issue a refund.

Use of Files & Liability

  • Files are provided “as is”, for use by informed users. You are solely responsible for verifying compatibility (vehicle, ECU reference, tooling) before purchase and for correct installation and flashing.
  • Modifying an ECU may affect the vehicle’s manufacturer warranty, emissions compliance, and road-legality. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use complies with the laws and regulations applicable in your country.
  • We give no warranty of fitness for a particular vehicle or purpose.
  • To the extent permitted by law, we cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from incorrect identification, installation, or use of the files, including damage to the ECU or vehicle.

Intellectual Property & Licence

Files are supplied for your own use only. Any reproduction, sharing, redistribution, or resale of the files, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited and engages your liability.

Personal Data

The personal data collected to process your order is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms & Conditions are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, you may use the consumer mediation service indicated in our Legal Notice, or the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Failing an amicable resolution, the competent French courts shall have jurisdiction.
